First introduced into service in 2004, the Innovative Aerosystems Engine Instrument Display System (EIDS) is a FAA/TSO Certified, low-cost, and highly reliable replacement for the legacy C-130 engine instrument cluster. Purpose-built for the C-130, the EIDS provides operators with a modern, streamlined solution that is fully compatible with the existing cockpit configuration and simple to retrofit.

Instead of relying on twenty-eight (28) individual electromechanical instruments, the EIDS consolidates all engine and propeller-related parameters into two high-resolution Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) and one control panel. This upgrade not only improves cockpit efficiency and readability but also reduces weight, heat, and maintenance demands.

In addition, the modular design of the Innovative Aerosystems EIDS provides operators with a growth path toward a complete C-130 Flight Deck upgrade, offering long-term value and scalability.
