Warranty

Innovative Aerosystems stands behind the quality of our repair services. We warrant all repairs performed by our team for a period of up to 180 days from the date of service. This warranty reflects our commitment to providing reliable solutions that keep your aircraft operating safely and efficiently.

Please note that Innovative Aerosystems will not honor warranties on any unit where a tamper-proof seal has been broken, unless prior authorization is obtained from our team. Protecting the integrity of the repair ensures the performance and safety of your equipment.

Returning Units for Repair, Upgrade, or Recertification

To return a unit to Innovative Aerosystems for repair, upgrade, or recertification, please follow the steps below.

No RMA number is required.
If you are a new customer, please see the New Customer Set-Up Process section below.

Packaging & Documentation

When shipping your unit, package it securely to prevent damage and include:

  • Purchase Order (PO), Repair Order (RO), or Work Order (WO)
  • Ship-to Address
  • Contact name with phone, fax, and email of the person authorized to approve the repair quote*
  • Reason for return
  • Requested delivery date

Funding Requirements

  • All returned parts must be accompanied by a funded PO/RO/WO that covers at least the Bench Check and Recertification fee.
  • Units received without funding will be placed on hold for up to 10 days. If no funding is received after that period, the unit will be returned “As Is.”
  • Exceptions apply if
    • The customer is under a funded repair contract (only PO updates required), or
    • The part is under warranty.

Turnaround Times

  • Repairs & Recertifications: ~20 business days
  • Upgrades & Modifications: ~30 business days

*Please note: No unit will be shipped back without an approved repair quote.

Expedited Service

If you need a unit returned sooner than our standard turnaround times, Innovative Aerosystems offers expedited service. A 25% expedite fee will be applied to the total cost of the unit.

Important:

  • Clearly note “Expedite” on all paperwork.
  • Include your requested delivery date with the return documentation.

New Customer Process

New customers may follow the set-up process below (optional but recommended for faster service):

Step 1: Provide Company Information

  • Customer Name
  • Billing Address
  • Shipping Address
  • Payment Method (Credit Card, Check, or Wire Transfer)
  • Point(s) of Contact for repair quotes and invoicing

Step 2: Payment Terms

  • All new customers are set up as Payment in Advance. Units will not be shipped until payment is received.
  • After a history of successful transactions, customers may request Net 30 terms.

Our Accounts Receivable team will review your request and notify you of approval.

Cash-In-Advance Customer Requirements

Effective immediately, all Cash-In-Advance customers are responsible for paying the Teardown Fee for each unit returned to Innovative Aerosystems before work can be performed.

  • Units may be shipped to Innovative Aerosystems prior to payment being made.
  • Once received, our Customer Service Administrator will log the unit, initiate the RMA, and immediately issue an invoice for the applicable Teardown Fee (see fee table below).
  • This requirement applies to all repairs, including Expedite and AOG services.
  • No exceptions will be made.

Recertifications & Bench Testing

Innovative Aerosystems provides professional recertification and bench testing services for our equipment. Upon completion, units are returned with an official FAA 8130-3 airworthiness tag, documenting that the unit has been thoroughly inspected and meets the required standards.

This process ensures your equipment continues to perform reliably while maintaining compliance with FAA regulations. Whether for routine checks or customer-specific requirements, our team delivers accurate testing and trusted certification to keep your aircraft operations safe and efficient.
