The Innovative Aerosystems ADAHRS (Air Data, Attitude and Heading Reference System) is a compact, lightweight digital solution engineered to replace traditional Directional Gyros (DG), Vertical Gyros (VG), legacy AHRS units, and standalone Air Data computers.
Ideal for both retrofit and OEM applications, this next-generation ADAHRS integrates advanced MEMS gyro technology with IAs proven track record in air data and RVSM-compliant avionics.
This high-performance ADAHRS system includes a digital Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) with tri-axial accelerometers and gyros. It offers comprehensive analog and digital interfaces to support seamless integration with legacy autopilots and cockpit instrumentation.
The IMU includes an integral Air Data module to measure static and total pressure for independent display of air data information, and an external Magnetic Sensor Unit (MSU) input is used to provide long-term magnetic aiding to compute Magnetic Heading output.
All aircraft-specific configurations—including DG Mode, Maximum Allowable Airspeed Limit, static source error correction, attitude and MSU calibrations, and temperature probe type—are stored in the Installation Configuration Module (ICM). This allows for quick replacement and minimal reconfiguration when servicing or upgrading Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
When coupled with the Innovative Aerosystem’s Beta-3 GPS Receiver, the ADAHRS system delivers INS-grade navigation performance with 25-foot 3D positional accuracy.
