FAA Certified Solution for ADS-B, CPDLC, and TAWS
The IA GPS Sensor Unit is a remote-mounted GPS-SBAS/WAAS Beta-3 receiver engineered for retrofit in business jets, regional aircraft, airline transport, and heavy rotary-wing platforms. This unit provides operators with a cost-effective, FAA-certified, and reliable ADS-B Out position source .
Its primary function is to compute an aircraft’s position, velocity, and precise time (PVT) while validating integrity through Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) signals when available. The receiver uses a Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) algorithm to detect and exclude failed satellites (FD/FDE), ensuring high-integrity navigation data.
When integrated with a compatible, certified Mode S transponder, the IA GPS Sensor Unit delivers a fully rule-compliant ADS-B Out solution. It can also serve as the approved position source for CPDLC, TAWS/FMS, RNP, and other NextGen avionics applications.
The compact, rugged design supports installation close to the antenna to minimize coaxial cable runs and optimize signal quality.
